
There's a lot of irony in this sign for me. The average house price in February 2008 in Vancouver was $632,000, or $92,000 more than it was a year ago. In Toronto it was $382,000, only $14,000 more than it was a year ago. And what's surprising is that the average price of a house in Calgary is $415,000. Who would have thought Toronto would be a cheaper place to live than Calgary? Anyway, the sign is for a condo development about to be started on an empty lot here in Vancouver and I find the sign ironic.
