Barge

A barge. On the beach in Vancouver. It was supposed to be removed after a few days but it's been there for weeks now. It's a little bit of unplanned honesty on the waterfront of this city. Everything else is perfectly composed and regulated and permitted. This little blemish on the shores of the most livable (and most expensive) city in the world is a nice little reality check. I like it. I hope they fill it with dirt and plant it full of trees and paint a mural on the side of it and just let it sit there and rot. I'm sure the owners would gladly donate it rather than be faced with the cost of its extraction. If it was going to be cheap and easy, it would be gone already.

Vancouver's barge. I saw it. I hope it stays.
