Change
Cell phone pictures from the same window at work. They are building a new hospital there. It amounts to a small town on a city block. It will change everything. It will change this city.

Botanical Beach, BC
The weather co-operated. Botanical Beach is just past Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island. This was my second time there. The first was 6 or 7 years ago, thereabouts.

Barge
A barge. On the beach in Vancouver. It was supposed to be removed after a few days but it's been there for weeks now. It's a little bit of unplanned honesty on the waterfront of this city. Everything else is perfectly composed and regulated and permitted. This little blemish on the shores of the most livable (and most expensive) city in the world is a nice little reality check. I like it. I hope they fill it with dirt and plant it full of trees and paint a mural on the side of it and just let it sit there and rot. I'm sure the owners would gladly donate it rather than be faced with the cost of its extraction. If it was going to be cheap and easy, it would be gone already.
Vancouver's barge. I saw it. I hope it stays.

October 4, 1971. 50 years later
It's been a while since I've done this. It's been even longer since I've ridden that horse too.
So I went for a walk.
So I went for a walk.

Truck
Over a decade in this city. It's hard to find different things to take photos of. There are three different trucks that park down this blind ended street and I've taken pictures of them all more than once. So here's some more. Because I'm still here.
